During this and any time, you’ll find that working with your spirit can bring you additional energy and inner strength, as well as provide a sense of calmness and self-satisfaction.
Here are some steps to help make life more enjoyable that involve working within for a few minutes each day:
1. Make a firm commitment to your spirit that you’ll work with it to refuse and counteract the negativity that you face on a daily basis.
Life is full of challenges for everyone. There are continuous ups and downs and, when you learn to ride the waves by refusing and counteracting negativity before it becomes overwhelming, you’ll have a better connection with your spirit.
2. Love and accept yourself completely, and start making positive changes in your thinking and lifestyle habits.
Be grateful for who you are as a person and expand on your positive attributes. Recognize the aspects that don’t make you feel good about yourself and start making changes to your habits and relationships that will improve your well-being. Practice staying in a positive mode by replacing negative thoughts about yourself and others with constructive observations.
3. Respect your own free will and the free will of others.

Stop letting others persuade you to do something you don’t want to do, and reciprocate by not pushing your agenda on others. Each of us has the right to believe in what feels right, to take care of ourselves in the way we see fit, and we should allow others to do the same.
4. Learn calmness by taking the time to relax.
Spending time in nature can help you to get into synch with the soothing vibrations of the natural world. Not only will getting out into nature help you feel calmer, it will also improve your mood and refresh your mental resources, especially your directed attention (the attention you use while concentrating).
5. Bring in plenty of Light!
The universal Light (capitalized to differentiate a purely positive white light from other colors of the spectrum) is an unlimited positive energy source that you can freely tap into anytime you like. If your spiritual state is positively charged, it will prove easier to bring in the Light than if it has been drained by negativity. If you continue to bring in the Light over a long period of time, your spirit can gradually respond to its positive energy.
6. Perform a daily self-healing.

The main point of doing a daily self-healing is to ensure that you provide a positive environment for your spirit. Many people may require help with this aspect of working with your spirit, because your physical health is related to your spiritual health – and vice versa. If your spirit has been compromised with negativity, your efforts to self-heal may be less effective, but still give it some time. You can regularly bring the Light into your glands, organs, electrical system, and spiritual apertures for a few minutes each day.
7. Enjoy each day as a new opportunity to learn, grow, and appreciate your dynamic relationship with your spirit!
Keep making adjustments to your ever-changing life. Allow the nurturing of your relationship with your spirit to help you thoughtfully interact with others, take care of yourself, and appreciate who you are as a precious person on this planet.
Take care of yourselves and everyone you love now and as you advance into your future!

Have you considered what personal changes may be necessary to facilitate your progress? It may be time for you to change some attitudes, to believe in yourself more, and to view your future as a work in progress, rather than as a lofty goal that may seem unattainable. During this time of transition you’ll need to be prepared to meet unexpected challenges and be flexible enough to adapt to changing circumstances.
Now that we’re entering another new year, we can look forward to the many prospects before us. We can take advantage of this new calendar year to make the changes that will take us in the direction that we want to go!
The other day one of my friends on social media shared a 2014 video of a tearful young North Korean woman who delivered a compelling account of her perilous journey to what she thought was freedom in China. As they navigated by the night sky, Yeon-mi Park described how she felt that only the stars were with them. This is one of the feelings that oppressed or abused people deal with throughout their lives, because they have been separated from the harmony within that was meant to exist. In speaking out about the tragedy that she and others in her country have lived through, this brave young refugee exemplifies the need to talk about abusive experiences in order for self-healing to take place.
of our being and start the healing process. We did nothing wrong, but bear the shame and guilt of having been violated, often by the people we were supposed to have trusted most. Unless we break through the fear and finally tell a friend, family member or seek professional help, the hurt will keep festering away within. Not only does the aftermath of abuse cause emotional and mental difficulty and ongoing trauma to our bodies, it also impacts our spiritual selves in a vicious cycle of pernicious negativity. Fortunately I found a way to work within with my spirit, so that I was able to stop the cycle to regain my self-esteem, dignity and self-heal over time.
At this time of the year many of us are reflecting upon our past year, and find ourselves speculating about how to approach 2017. I always think of each New Year as an opportunity for a brighter future, when we can let go of past fears, be grateful for who we are right now, and renew our efforts to make the kind of positive changes we want to enhance our future.

The other day I was watching a Discovery Channel special about preparations for the 2018 launch of the James Webb Space Telescope – just completed today – the complex infrared instrument that will allow us to peer further into space than ever before, while it prompts astronomers and astrophysicists to speculate about the prospect of finding more planets in the Goldilocks zone of their stars. As we’re about to make this historic visual leap into unknown regions of the universe, once the James Webb launches we might all feel a flash of excitement about the prospect of finding signs of intelligent life in our universe.
Similar to how the James Webb Space Telescope will be able to penetrate through dense cosmic dust clouds to send back incredibly clear images of previously unseen stars, when you work with your spirit you’ll be able to break through the negativity that interferes with your wellbeing. Since your spiritual self inhabits a higher plane of existence, the acquisition of positive spiritual knowledge will enhance your ability to view your life experiences with more clarity. Once you learn how to recognize and counteract the impact of negative challenges in the immediate moment, you can emerge stronger, healthier and happier as you move forward. As you visualize a positive outcome to your endeavors, your spirit can provide inspiration that will make a real difference in how your future will emerge!
While many people talk about finding happiness, I encourage everyone to create your own happiness by generating success at the highest level of your being.
ups and downs in my own life, with no apparent hope of happiness, I found a dynamic way to transition to a happy state of being. Rather than comparing and complaining about what my life presented to me at the physical level, I learned a unique way of working with my spirit and started to refuse the higher-level negativity that was impeding my progress at all levels of my being. There was a lot of uphill work to do but, as I gradually became stronger spiritually, my perspective on life changed and I started experiencing the energetic joy that comes only from within.
When you acknowledge that your spirit is actually there to help you through this life, you’ll realize that you can stop waiting around for something or someone else. When you believe in yourself and interact positively with your spirit, you’ll receive more insight and inspiration about how to be happy!
Within each of us is the ability to change any dissatisfying aspects of our lives, but many people find it difficult to follow through on their commitments, due to many factors, including higher-level interference. It’s been my observation over many years that all kinds of commitments become easier to sustain in the long term, when you make them at the higher level.
Making a higher-level commitment to yourself and to your spirit brings higher-level elements into play that would otherwise never be included in the process. Negativity that causes higher-level interference with your thoughts, emotions and habits might draw you into replacing one negative aspect of your life with another, even more negative substitute. When dealing with negativity, there are underlying higher-level factors that could influence your steadfastness as you move forward to make positive changes. Once you make a higher-level commitment to yourself and to your spirit that you will work together to counteract those negatives that have interfered with your wellbeing, you’ll have ample strength to get through the friction of making meaningful changes and glide much more easily toward your desired life beyond.
We all seek spirituality in our own way, but some of us need a more self-propelled approach to our spiritual needs than what is pursued by the vast majority. The attainment of spiritual harmony can be established by coupling a genuine desire with a firm commitment that brings about a determined effort to progress with one’s spirit.
