Create Your Happiness | Be…Live…Believe in Yourself!

Sunlit Cloud.wpWhile many people talk about finding happiness, I encourage everyone to create your own happiness by generating success at the highest level of your being.

Our state of happiness is subjective, so we can start, not by comparing our happiness to that of others, but by recognizing what makes us happy now and extrapolating forward. In addition to acknowledging our positive attributes at the physical, mental and emotional levels of our being, we can make positive changes by nurturing our spiritual self on a daily basis.

Many of us who have become disillusioned and felt like our quest for happiness is seemingly without end, have begun to think more creatively about what will actually make us happy. You can reconcile…in the here and now…between your past experiences and what you want your future wellbeing to be like. In addition, when you start refusing the negativity that you’re inadvertently accepting, you’ll move more easily beyond your troubles and on to a brighter future.

After I had gone through a rollercoaster ride of RollercoasterRail.wpups and downs in my own life, with no apparent hope of happiness, I found a dynamic way to transition to a happy state of being. Rather than comparing and complaining about what my life presented to me at the physical level, I learned a unique way of working with my spirit and started to refuse the higher-level negativity that was impeding my progress at all levels of my being. There was a lot of uphill work to do but, as I gradually became stronger spiritually, my perspective on life changed and I started experiencing the energetic joy that comes only from within.

Whatever impediments to happiness you face, there are many ways to help you bring balance and self-satisfaction that will improve your mood at the physical level and propel you toward a brighter future. A few include:

  1. Schedule time to relax and self-heal.
  2. Exercise to stimulate healthful processes in your body and enhance your self-esteem.
  3. Spend active time in nature: walking, cycling, swimming, sailing, rollerblading, etc.
  4. Eat a healthy diet and limit or refrain from drinking alcohol.
  5. Get adequate and restful sleep to reset yourself physiologically.
  6. Spend time with family and friends that bring you positive feelings.
  7. Express your creativity with music, art, writing, dance, photography, etc.
  8. Work with your spirit by refusing higher-level negativity that bombards you.

Some further positive changes that can better your life on a long-term basis:

  1. Get organized and productive in your personal and business affairs.
  2. Start your own business, upgrade your education, move or renovate your current home.
  3. Reflect on your current relationship…it might be time to move on and find another partner with whom sex and communication are improved.

Falls Rainbow.wpWhen you acknowledge that your spirit is actually there to help you through this life, you’ll realize that you can stop waiting around for something or someone else. When you believe in yourself and interact positively with your spirit, you’ll receive more insight and inspiration about how to be happy!

As we strive to attain and maintain our individual happiness, we bring positive energy to improve the overall nature of our existence on this planet.

Be…Live…Believe in yourself…and be creative about your happiness!

Be the Star You Are!

At this time of year most of us are looking toward positive change in our lives.  Sometimes the unknowns of the future can appear intimidating, so why not create your desired future more easily by making an effort to develop your innate higher-level talents in the upcoming year?

As an integral part of our universal existence, each of us has the implicit responsibility to promote the progress of our spirits.  There are no ‘old souls’ – all our unique spirits were created at the same instant, just as all the stuff of the stars was present at the origin of our majestic universe. Over time some spirits acquired more knowledge than others, so we all started off with different levels of enlightenment in this lifetime.

If your spirit started with a low knowledge base or brought forward negative accumulation, it would lessen your ability to deal with higher-level negativity.  However, once you start applying positive spiritual principles to your life, you’ll amplify your potential to overcome the negativity that interferes with your wellbeing.

Although I met with some difficult personal challenges during the past year, it hasn’t diminished my enthusiasm but, instead, it has fueled my determination to continue to create the positive future I desire.  Not only have I become more capable of counteracting the higher-level negativity that accompanies difficult times, I’ve gained strength and helped my spirit to progress.  Now I’ll bring that knowledge forward as I build my future and help my clients to build theirs.

Why not supercharge your life in the New Year by approaching your goals with a focused perspective as you incorporate positive spiritual principles into your life?  You’ll be surprised at how rapidly you’ll achieve lasting positive change in 2014!

I’m ready for my best year ever…are you?

Happy New Year!

No Worries…Just the Best Possible Outcome

Leo Jean's Starlike© paper sculpture mounted on shiny blue glassSome of the most negative thinking comes to mind as regret or worry.  Regrets are negative thoughts about the past, while worries are negative thoughts about the future.  Neither of them has any validity in the present, but they are recurring thoughts that unnecessarily interfere with our wellbeing.

The best way to deal with such negative thinking is to at first realize that it’s just wasted time.  Leo used to always ask people: “Do you worry a lot?”  With the almost-always affirmative reply, he’d say:

“If you worry a lot, then you’re a professional at doing nothing.  You have to act to do something about it.”

Those strong words were directed at me when I first met Leo, because I was under a cloud of worry-tivity – my world was full of worry.  I worried about everyone else, too, because I had become an expert at worrying.  I spent my childhood learning all about the ins and outs of worrying from my mother who was an expert at worrying about everything and everybody.  That’s even worse than worrying about one’s own problems, because there’s really nothing anyone can do about someone else’s problems.

I gladly learned that worrying is simply fear of the future.  While we can and should act to make our future the reality that we desire, we still have to go through all the positive steps that will lead to that future.  Our lives are a work in progress, so we need to understand that every constructive action we take will lead us in a positive direction toward our goals.  And we must be prepared to ad lib and make changes as external events act upon us.

Worrying takes us nowhere, but it causes a distraction in our normal thought processes and takes us into the negative realm.  Once we’re submersed in negative thinking patterns (i.e. the go-nowhere good-for-nothing worrying), we also attract negative energy/spirits that fuel the process and feed off of the negative energy that we’ve created.

When I was learning to refuse negativity, I learned to counteract the act of worrying, that had forced me into the corner of doing nothing about my problems.  While I was worrying, I wasn’t formulating a plan of how to solve my problems; I was just adding to them.  While I was a ‘worry-wart’ I was unable to disassociate myself from the future negativity that I was creating in my mind.  In other words, I was heading straight into negative territory every time I worried.

In addition to attracting negative energy/spirits when we worry a lot, there are greater spiritual implications.  Mental and emotional negativity converge at the throat chakra and can allow damage to the spiritual opening, causing additional physical side effects such as thyroid malfunction.  When I started to work with my spirit and learned to refuse the negativity that invaded my thoughts every time I thought about my future, I was able to direct myself in a positive direction.  Not only had I been creating undue mental stress, but I was unable to enjoy the luxury of physical relaxation.  When I let go of my worrying, I was able to allow my body to relax and heal.  As I learned to relax, refuse negative thoughts and to take action to direct my own future, I let go of my expertise at worrying and all its negative side effects.

“Energy turned back on itself creates stress.  Energy allowed to flow freely allows relaxation.” ~Leo JeanLeo Jean's Starlike© paper sculpture mounted on slice of blue rock

As I worked with my spirit and emerged from my worrying pastime, I saw so much more potential in my life than as a survivor of spousal abuse.  In a time of high unemployment while I was training to work as Leo’s assistant, I found interim work as the manager of a portrait studio (350 applicants) and renewed my interest in coaxing babies to break out their smiles (toothless or not!)  Once I started to love myself, believe in myself and care for myself both physically and spiritually, I abandoned my expertise at worrying and became the director of my future.

Whether we believe in fate or determinism, it seems true that everything happens for a reason so that we can learn and benefit from both the positives and the negatives in life.  As long as we direct ourselves in the best ways possible, it does us no good to worry about events that are beyond our control.  For instance, while we await the ‘end date’ of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012, we can choose to view it simply as the end of a calendar, as the date of a possible global catastrophe or as the beginning of an enlightened era in human history.  From the quantum perspective of the Many Worlds Theory, every action we take could manifest countless alternative outcomes in other parallel universes, but we get only one.

As we gain more insight about our place in the multiverse, we ought to face our future with confidence and optimism for the best possible outcome, so that we can allow ourselves to prosper at all levels of existence.

Believe in Yourself

When you believe in yourself, your spirit will respond to help you.

From my perspective, loving myself goes hand in hand with believing in myself.  While self-love is somewhat static within me, believing in myself is the dynamic force that combines with it to allow me to move forward in a positive direction in my life.  Both rely on my efforts to work with my spirit to remove the negativity that interferes with our progress toward a positive existence.

When I began to love myself for who I am, I accepted all my faults and attributes simultaneously.  I am comprised of all that I am, and I fully accept ‘me’.  In order to integrate this self-love into my life, I then accepted that I also must believe in myself to realize my full potential.

When a child believes in his/herself, they move toward their goals by simply pursuing their interests in life.  It should be no different for us as adults, but many have been submerged in thoughts of self-doubt, memories of past failure and fear of the unknown. Many focus on their weaknesses instead of on their strengths.  In other words, many stop believing in themselves and depend on others.  Such insecurity is an acceptance of negativity at the higher level, and your spirit will not be able to assist you until you resist this negative tendency.

When you act in self-love and believe in yourself, your spirit will readily help you at the spiritual level to achieve your goals.   As you work with your spirit to refuse negativity and absorb the energy of the Light*, this positive approach will filter down and benefit you at the physical level. This Starlike© paper sculpture by Leo Jean is reminiscent of stepping out of the rut of insecurity into a new world of believing in oneself.

No one can give you self-love or make you believe in yourself.  You have to want it for yourself and work at it every day to create your future as only you believe it should be!

Believing in yourself is the key to moving forward in confidence towards the positive existence that you desire.
