Help Yourselves to Keep Your Resolutions

Are you making your New Year’s resolutions for 2012?  Do you really want to be able to keep them?  Let’s consider how you can propel your desired changes into a powerful commitment to yourself to keep them.  If you make an effort to direct your ‘self’ at all levels of your being, you’ll be better prepared this year.

I’ve learned that I have several different aspects of my ‘self’ that work for or against me, depending on my awareness.  There’s the ‘I’ that exists in my physical form, the one that maintains my physical body and houses the other parts of me.  ‘I’ ask the other levels of my self to assist me in my daily life and when ‘I’ make commitments to improve my well-being.

My ‘higher self’ knows everything about my life and is prepared to assist me whenever I ask.  My higher self is the memory bank of my entire life from the instant of conception right up to this very moment.  It’s aware of every thought, emotion and action in my life.  I can ask my higher self to help me with memory, problem solving and decisionmaking.  My higher self is also my liaison between my physical self, my inter-dimensional self and my spiritual self.

My ‘inter-dimensional self’ is that part of me that exists in higher dimensional states.  It has the ability to travel outside my body and sometimes allows me to remember those journeys. However, my interdimensional self is susceptible to receiving calls from others and, if permitted, it would respond to those calls by leaving my body to interact at the interdimensional level.  I never permit a response to such calls, since it would leave my physical form vulnerable to negative interference.

My ‘spiritual self’ is the highest level of my being.  My spirit, a sentient being that exists entirely in a spiritual plane of existence, is the most powerful part of me.  It alone has the ability to transcend the physical plane completely.  I’ve learned how to interact with my spirit to improve my wellbeing, and my spirit has a major role in helping me to stay on a positive track.

In order to keep my commitments, there has to be a high degree of resolve, so that the various levels of myself will be able to help me.  So when “I” make a commitment, I’m doing a few things at once:

  1. I’m asking my higher self to help me to accomplish a goal.  My higher self immediately sets in motion the connections needed in my brain to complete that task.
  2. I maintain control of my inter-dimensional self by staying inside my body.  In this way, I no longer accept distractions or interference from that level of existence.  If I’m accepting negative input at the inter-dimensional level and I don’t refuse it properly, I would prevent my spirit from being able to effectively help me.
  3. When I feel any negative interference about the process of keeping a commitment, I refuse the thought or emotion that was triggered.  Then I ask my spirit to return the negativity to its point of origin with the pure white Light.  As I direct my spirit to do this, my spirit instantly sends Light to the source of the negativity, thereby eliminating the interference.  Once the interference is gone, I can resume my positive stance.  This process has to be repeated and is more effective as you gain strength.

In addition to using your component selves to help you to create positive lasting change, you first have to love and accept all parts of yourself as you are.  Then you can change the things that you want to be different.  Only if you refuse and remove negative interference can you expect your higher self or your spirit to help you to keep your commitments.

Now you can begin working with all aspects of yourself in unison, and you should have no problem keeping your resolutions in 2012!

What’s in Healing Energy?

Poster of letter received from woman whose terminal cancer was healed by Leo Jean in 1987In order to experience a successful healing, a person should eliminate all other spiritual influences from the process; fully trust their decision to accept the healing; and continue the positive energy momentum into the future.

While I was captivated by children’s receptiveness to Leo Jean’s healing, I was equally interested in the reaction of adults.  When Leo directs the energy of the pure white Light* into the recipient of a healing, an instantaneous physical change can take place.   One notable example from twenty years ago that comes to mind was the case of a 57-year-old Portuguese woman (we’ll call her Teresa), who came from her home in Bermuda to see us in Ontario, Canada.  When Teresa came into Leo’s office, she was carrying some documents that her niece explained were the X-rays that had been taken a few weeks earlier.  Teresa had undergone surgery for lung cancer but, upon looking inside of her right lung, the surgeon had stitched her back up, stating that there was nothing they could do for her.  After Teresa had pulled up her sweater to show us the very large scar that went from her back around her rib cage, she indicated with both hands that the cancer was the size of a grapefruit.

Leo very calmly asked Teresa if she was ready to have the cancer removed.  Teresa shook her head in the affirmative, and said that she was too young to die.  She wanted to continue working at the job she had started over 20 years earlier.  Then Leo asked Teresa if she prayed a lot.  Teresa started to describe how she attended mass every day at the church that was just down the street from her house in Bermuda.  She prayed a lot!  Leo went on to ask Teresa if she would stop praying so that he could perform the healing.  Teresa looked up with tearful eyes and agreed to stop praying, if it was going to help her healing.

Leo explained that, when someone prays, they automatically summon spirits.  In order for Leo to effectively help Teresa, she would have to stop summoning spirits, because they would bring negative energy that would interfere with his work.  Teresa asked if it would be all right to continue to pray and go to church after she was healed.  Leo told Teresa that, if she wanted to do so, that was her concern. As Leo did the initial healing work, she would continue the healing on her own.  She was already feeling much better within a few visits.

On her final visit, Teresa’s husband came in with her to meet us.  He wasn’t happy at all.  When he walked into the room, he blasted out at Leo that his wife was one of the best Catholics he knew, always praying and going to church.  Leo said that it was none of his concern and that he should go wait in the car, since he was interfering with his wife’s healing.  Teresa’s husband stormed out, and she was apologetic.  Once she returned home, she might consider never going back to that church again.

A month later, one of Teresa’s daughters came to receive a healing from Leo.  She told us how Teresa had gone back to her doctor for more X-rays.  The tumor was completely gone already, and the doctor couldn’t explain it.  Teresa was happily back at work and still arguing with her husband about going to church every day. Soon afterward, we received a thank you letter from Teresa with a money order.  It was her custom that a person should send money every month to someone who had saved their life.  We returned a letter stating that she was under no obligation to us.  It had been a pleasure to work with her and to teach her how to work with her spirit.  The following summer her youngest daughter came from Bermuda to see us. (See letter at end of post)

It was such an incredible experience for me to be present during the healing of a terminal cancer!  By abandoning her lifelong habit of summoning spirits, Teresa had chosen to live a positive life without the fear of reprisal from some deity.  The healing energy that Leo had directed into the tumor had effectively destroyed the cancer cells.  Teresa had allowed the healing to take place by proper refusal at the spiritual level and that, in turn, allowed her body to reject the cancer.

Leo cautioned me that not everyone is willing to accept a healing, since many people are clouded by negative thoughts about the process.  Fear and doubt will both cause them to block the healing energy, so a person must feel totally confident about their decision before they make a request for a healing.

Not long after we worked with Teresa, we worked with a woman whose husband was a nuclear physicist.  After Leo successfully worked with his wife, he was so curious about the process that he asked for a healing himself.  Leo casually mentioned that he would like to find an instrument that could somehow measure the Light energy that he emitted during a healing.  Upon his next visit, the physicist brought with him a Roentgen scale that measures X-rays and gamma rays present in an environment. Leo held the small cylindrical device in one hand as he sent the healing energy to his wife through the other.  There was a marked change from the normal setting on the scale.  The physicist lifted his eyebrows a little.  He said he’d leave the meter with us until he returned the following week when it should have reset itself.

The next week when the physicist and his wife arrived, Leo announced that he was going to increase the power that would be measured by holding the Roentgen scale himself.  Leo concentrated his power on the scale and then handed it to the physicist.  The man’s jaw dropped as he took a careful look at the scale that now showed the highest reading.  He shook his head and said he couldn’t believe it.  He said that he had never before heard of this scale ever reaching this point.  In his expert opinion it was impossible.  At that point he told us to keep the scale, since he could never return it to his workplace to be recharged.

We subsequently met an instruments engineer who, upon showing him the Roentgen scale, asked where we had obtained it.  He told us that such an instrument is regularly used in settings where radioactivity is monitored, such as in nuclear plants or around X-ray machines.  We later learned that the nuclear physicist was one of the world’s foremost authorities in his field.  Maybe one day we’ll be able to find a device that will effectively measure the physical properties of the pure white Light that Leo uses in his healing.

As we continue our work together, Leo continues to make advances into the detection and removal of much higher-level negative energy sources.  Twenty years ago we began working at a distance with clients who had initially come to see us in person.  Now we regularly work with people from around the world over the phone, with similar results as though they were in the same room.

The positive flow of healing energy traverses any distance to a willing receiver who properly refuses external spiritual influences, fully trusts in the process and commits to ongoing work with their spirit.

Children’s Choices

Leo Jean's pencil crayon painting: "Mermaid"In a follow up to my previous post, “We Are All Spiritual Beings”, I thought it would be fitting to illustrate some of the fundamental principles of working with your spirit.   In order to simplify what it means to make choices with your spirit, I picked out two examples of how children make choices for their own well-being, based on their spiritual orientation (whether they’re positively or negatively oriented). It might help to know that the healing of a child is an exceptional situation, since animals and children are exempt from the effects of placebos (as stated by a medical doctor I once met). Note that the healing process we use entails only the removal of negative spirits and negative energy from the subject and the introduction of a new positively-oriented spirit. Once the healing process is initiated, the participant must do the recommended work on their own to complete their healing.

There are two cases of natural or spiritual healing of children that stand out during the first few years that I worked with Leo Jean. The results exemplified the most negative and most positive reactions by the children working with their replacement spirits.

The first child (we’ll call her Anna) was brought to Leo by her grandmother.  Anna was born blind and her mother died in childbirth in Trinidad.  When her father abandoned her, Anna’s grandmother took custody and brought her to Ontario, Canada.  Over the years, Anna had been taken to many specialists who all agreed that she would never see, for her retinas had never developed and her eyeballs remained the size of an infant’s.  In addition, Anna’s problems included: chronic pneumonia; asthma, which forced her to use a breathing compressor four times daily; deformity of the feet, making her unable to walk without special shoes; many allergies, especially to eggs, dairy products and strawberries; and malnutrition due to lack of appetite.  She had been in regular attendance as a resident at a blind institute and made frequent visits to the Hospital for Sick Kids in Toronto as a result of her many ailments, the most recent being two holes in her lungs. Leo never backed down from any challenge, and I was perplexed at the prospect of being able to help a child whose eyes had never developed.

We met Anna in the summer of 1987, when she was 11 years old.    She was exceptionally bright and very articulate.  She accepted the initial healing and began to do the follow up work on her own at her grandmother’s house.  During the first half-hour healing session, Anna began to cough up a lot of phlegm.  By the fourth session, twelve days later, Anna was regaining her appetite, was walking with more stability, was coughing much less and had reduced by half her time on the asthma control mask.

During the eleventh session, ten days later, Anna demonstrated good control over the movement of her eyelids, which had always remained closed since early childhood.  She had stopped using the breathing compressor a week earlier and was showing good progress with the straightening of her legs and feet.

Three days later, Anna had been scheduled for surgery at Sick Children’s to repair the holes in her lungs, so her grandmother wanted to keep the appointment as a precaution.  When the intern checked Andrea’s lungs and could find nothing wrong with them, she called the specialist who also tested her.  He was amazed that there was no wheezing whatsoever, when only a couple of weeks earlier he had recommended surgery.

By the fourteenth session, one month after her first visit, Anna began to pick up movement and light or shadow.  Her grandmother said that she was watching her closely and that she was really making progress.  One day her grandmother took her to MacDonalds and she ordered her some pancakes.  Only later did she realize that the pancakes were made with eggs, and Anna had had no allergic reaction.  Then Anna began to dream and would wake up in the morning and tell her grandmother about her dreams.  She was describing her dreams in color, but she had never actually been capable of seeing color.  The grandmother checked and learned that blind people don’t dream because they have no visual references with which to formulate images.

During the next month Anna started attending a summer program at the blind institute and much of the work was undone during that time.  When she came to see us at the end of the summer, Leo noticed that Anna was limping again and was no longer excited about the possibility of having eyesight.  He asked her if she wanted to continue with the healing work.  Much to the horror of her grandmother, Anna stated in a very steady voice: “I look forward to my next school term.  I’m going to get an electronic cane and get MS, just like my friend!”  Leo and I said that it was her decision, if that’s what she wanted.

At that point Leo had to console Anna’s grandmother, who was in tears upon hearing that statement.  Anna had just exercised her free will.  That was our signal to back off and allow her to experience exactly what she wanted in life.  It was, after all, her life and, no matter how much her grandmother wanted for her to be healed, she had to want it for herself. This young girl had actually been doing the healing while working with her spirit, while Leo removed the negative influences that interfered with her.  Soon after she had decided to reject the healing and stop working with her spirit, the positive spirit that Leo had provided left and another spirit took over Anna’s form.

The instance of working with another child with a positive outcome shows what wonders can be accomplished when a person fully participates in the healing process.  This time the work involved a 3-year-old boy (we’ll call him Jose) originally from Argentina whose mother had brought him to see Leo because: “He’s always out playing in the mud.  He never wants to pick up a pencil to write or a crayon to draw.”  Jose also had large patches of eczema on both his lower legs, suffered from frequent stomachaches and was afraid to fall asleep at night.  He wasn’t learning English yet, and spoke only Spanish.

On their first visit, Leo asked Jose if he would like a nice spirit like the sparkly one he was holding in his hand.  Jose said that he would like that spirit.  Then he told us that his spirit would grow as big as Leo’s spirit.  I asked him where Leo’s spirit was, and he said: “Right there!” and pointed to his forehead.  Leo showed Jose how to remove the dead and damaged cells from his legs and how to bring in the new healthy cells to take away the red spots and stop the itching.  Jose said: “I will make it all go away.”

Then Leo asked Jose if he would like to use his mind power to make a spoon bend. (It’s something that Leo uses to assure people  that they can direct energy from their mind to use the Light* to perform self-healing by using the same energy to excite the molecules in the metal.)  Little Jose was fascinated with how the spoon bent as Leo held it, and wanted to do it on his own.  We gave him a lesson on how to bend the spoon and he was so happy to be going home to practice.

A week later, when Jose came in to see us, his mother brought her mother to meet us.  Jose’s mother said: “I don’t know what you did, but look at him!  He wanted to wear his best clothes today.”  Jose proudly walked in and told us that he wanted to write everything like we did, as he started to imitate our writing.  His mother and grandmother agreed that he had made significant changes already.  He was picking up his toys and straightening his room.  His attention span was greatly improved and he was suddenly speaking English.  He grinned at Leo and said that he already knew how to speak English as he pulled up his pant leg.  The eczema was gone.  Leo asked him about the other leg.  He said: “This week, this leg.  Next week, the other leg!”  Then he said to his mother, as he motioned upward with his hands: “Leo goes way out, so far and so fast that you can’t even understand.”  He was describing how Leo enters another dimension as he removes spirits.  Jose’s mother was obviously very pleased with the positive outcome of her son’s healing.

Jose’s mother said that he had been practicing with some spoons at their restaurant.  The grandmother looked on with a bit of a frown.  Then Jose said, as he reached for a spoon from the box on the desk: “Look at what I can do!”  The little boy rubbed the spoon at the neck, as we had shown him, while directing his mind energy at that spot.  But, to my utter astonishment, he actually pulled the spoon apart as it made a slight tinkling sound.  I couldn’t believe the power of that little guy’s mind!  Incredible!  However, grandma wasn’t happy.  She muttered: “That’s evil.”  I guess she was religious.

The following week, when Jose came to see us with his mom, he gleefully showed us the other leg, where the eczema had completely cleared up.  He said that he no longer had stomachaches and was no longer afraid to go to sleep in his own bed.  He showed us the writing that he had been practicing.  His mother said that now, when he waited around the restaurant, he was spending more time writing letters and numbers and drawing, instead of crawling around on the floor.   Little Jose will always be one of the most amazing children that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with.

So, here were two stories of children who had both accepted an initial healing.  Then one child decided that she’d rather stay negative, while the other child made the decision to live a more positive life.  Neither child was right or wrong, and we can’t judge them for the decision they each chose.  We can think that Anna’s condition was way worse and probably wouldn’t have worked.  We’ll never know, because Anna‘s spirit, the one that created her, had made her blind.  Anna’s grandmother wanted her to see, but maybe Anna, at some level, never wanted to see.  Who are we to say?  Young Jose, on the other hand, displayed enormous spiritual knowhow and reveled in it, once he was released from the imbalance of a spirit that wasn’t well suited to his body.  Each child made a choice of what was right for them and they lived on accordingly.

We’re All Spiritual Beings

Most think of the spiritual world as dauntingly mysterious. It’s an unseen realm in which we all dwell and interact, but most have failed to comprehend its significance in our daily lives.

Many are fascinated with ghosts and paranormal occurrences, while others like to surrender their spirituality to a religious institution.  I had never been satisfied with those interpretations of what exists beyond our physical dimension.  Through my work with Leo Jean, I’ve learned so much more about the spiritual world around us all.

You can think of a spirit as a sentient being without a body. From the instant of our conception, we have a spirit.  Even before conception a spirit has to make a decision whether or not it wants to create and enter a particular body.  Why are so many couples that are physically capable of creating children unable to conceive?  It’s because there’s no spirit that has decided to enter that embryo.  On the other hand, sometimes a spirit will leave, and the woman miscarries. As Leo says: “Without a spirit, there is no life.”

Anyone who owns a pet or has worked with animals will suggest that their animal has a spiritual connection with them.  It goes beyond words with animals.  People feel emotions for their pets and their pets sense energy and emotions from their owners.  That’s because animals have spirits, too.  Their bodies are just equipped differently.

Where did all these spirits come from then, if only a few humans started out on this planet? It’s comparable to the question of what happened before the Big Bang (if there was one).  If there were only a few people on Earth in primitive times, where did all the spirits come from that now exist within the 7 billion people and the billions of animals on our planet?  Well, we could say that the spirits of all those people and creatures came from the microscopic life that existed before these lifeforms came to be formed.  Then, from where did all those spirits possibly originate?

Humans are all born with intuitive skills.  Newborns are intimately connected with the spiritual world, as they adjust to their physical forms.  Infants are in tune with the spiritual realm and they can see and hear spirits in their daily activities.  Toddlers smile when they see a friendly face and will put up a fuss if someone comes up to them that they aren’t familiar with.  In some cases, a toddler will scream hysterically if a particular person comes around them.  That’s because the toddler can see the spirits in and around that person and is rejecting that person.  Infants and toddlers see the faces of the spirits and are reacting to their knowledge of that type of spirit.

There are positive spirits and negative spirits.  The positive spirits will never break a person’s free will, nor will they hang around a negative environment.  Positive spirits make choices.  Negative spirits, on the other hand, have lost their positive knowledge and are engaged in all kinds of negative activities.  For instance, a negative spirit will find an opportunity to enter a screaming toddler in a moment of distress.  The toddler has let down their spiritual defences and has opened one or more of their spiritual openings.  In pops a negative spirit.

Once a child opens one of their spiritual openings, it can lead to more spiritual vulnerability.  If a child closes their spiritual openings, they are better off.  However, usually every time that they endure another emotional outbreak, that same spiritual opening will reopen because it is damaged.  A child that has a very calm demeanour is a child that remains closed to other spirits.

Why would a spirit want to invade someone else’s body?  Sometimes it’s a spirit of a deceased family member that has remained around their relations because they don’t know what else to do or where to go.  They’ve lost their spiritual knowledge, because their former body didn’t know how to direct their spirit.  So they enter a body out of convenience.  Then they don’t have to create a form from scratch.

The next question that arises is what does a spirit do inside of someone else’s body?  That depends on the spirit and how negative it is.  Some spirits will enter or invade a body because they want to cause harm to the original spirit’s creation or to torment a spirit that is housed in another body.

There are destructive spirits that can cause damage to humans.  For instance, a child with ADD can be helped if they allow the removal of the spirit that is causing the problem.  Spirits can be too powerful or will simply not adjust to a human form easily.  This causes an imbalance.  More dramatic signs of ill-suited spirits are when a child suddenly contracts a life-threatening or terminal illness.  Although I respect medical science, sometimes a spiritual solution can be a viable remedy. Very often the change of a child’s spirit will allow their body to heal and give that child a chance at a normal healthy life.  A child can see their spirit as a comforting sparkling light.

What does it mean to work with your spirit?  The children that Leo and I have worked with immediately get it.  They begin to remove the negative influences that have caused their problems and get on with life.  It’s very simple for a child, because they haven’t yet lost all of their inherent spiritual knowledge.  On the other hand, adults are the most difficult to work with, due to their many years of conditioning and loss of spiritual knowhow.  We usually ask the children we work with to describe or draw pictures of ‘the ones that bother them’.  Most children are still so much in tune with the spiritual world and can talk about it in a matter-of-fact way.

How could Leo possibly know how to work with spirits like he does?  From my understanding, Leo never let go of his spiritual knowledge of the Light* throughout his life.  For most of that time, he had to remain quiet about what he knows, because it’s not a generally accepted practice in our society.  Leo is, however, a very steadfast dedicated man and he has endured 90 years without relinquishing his knowledge.

Part of the knowledge that is usually rejected is that which refers to the origin of our spirits.  Again, what caused the Big Bang?  What was there beforehand?  Now scientists are hypothesizing that there is a multiverse and that our universe is just an offshoot, a bubble that is expanding, along with many others.  So, where did all our spirits come from?

From the thousands of people that we’ve worked with around the world, we’ve compiled an immense amount of information about the origins of our spirits. Spirits know no boundaries, and can move freely anywhere throughout the multiverse.  They can cross over into our universe and create a form. The bodies that they create trap them inside the molecular structure, but they can enter and exit through the form’s open spiritual apertures.  A person’s original spirit can exceptionally enter and exit its own form through closed apertures.  Other spirits cannot enter a person’s form if their spiritual openings are closed.   The scary version of all this from the movies causes people to be afraid but, in fact, many people house more than one spirit.

Why would all these spirits be acting in this way?  What’s the point of all this spiritual body-hopping?  From our perspective, this has been continuously happening throughout time on our planet.  Few spirits have any positive knowledge, so they are largely destructive or self-destructive.  They feed on energy, and thrive on the negative energy that they create.  Some are  even too powerful or destructive to exist in a human form.

Our spiritual/natural/quantum healing method provides a solution, as we match positively-oriented spirits to people to create a synchronized balance.  When a person works in harmony with their spirit, they are working with a sole spiritual being that is dedicated to improving their life experience.

8. Free to Choose

During the next while I spent as much time with Leo as I could.  I was beginning to make great strides toward recovering from the ordeal I knew as my previous life.  What had happened to me was that, although I had a positive spirit when I was born, I had been constantly subjected to negativity that caused my spirit to lose its positive energy.  Luckily, my spirit was still strong enough to direct me to Leo who had enough knowledge to help me.

Of course I was intrigued by the concept that a person’s spirit, also known as their soul, has energy, just like a thought has energy.  A spirit’s energy can be positive or negative and a person is subject to that energy. Not everyone has a positively-oriented spirit at birth.  In other words, if your spirit thrives on negative energy, then your spirit will respond to negativity.  If your spirit thrives on positive energy, then your spirit will respond to the pure white light of the universe, which is pure positive energy.  It will react and respond according to how you deal with energy from people, places, things and thoughts.

It wasn’t long before I was able to regain control over the addictions I had accepted earlier in life.  Within two months of meeting Leo I was able to quit smoking after having smoked for 15 years, then half my life.  Leo simply made a suggestion that, if I wanted to quit, I alone had to make the decision to do so.  After one memorable struggle through a winter blizzard to go and buy cigarettes, I made that decision with a firm commitment to myself.  Then, each time I had the urge to light up, I simply went back to my commitment and was able to stop myself from giving in.  The cigarettes were no longer in control of me.  After several months I was able to say a final “No, thanks.” to the alcohol that was often offered to me.  I felt so much better about myself for having finally defeated those destructive tendencies!

Once I had regained my equilibrium, Leo asked if I would like to train to be his assistant.  I immediately replied that I could think of no better way to spend my life than to help others who experienced problems of a spiritual nature.  Two years later Leo and I set up an office together and I began to work with people as Leo’s assistant.  As I worked with Leo to solve the plethora of problems faced by our many clients, I realized that certain patterns of human spiritual behavior were emerging.  No one else was dealing with the types of spirits that Leo engaged.

Before too long I made the decision to confront both my abusive ex-husband and the priest that had raped me as a child.  In January of 1988 I went alone to the local courthouse where I petitioned for and was granted a divorce.   The next month, in terrible icy conditions, Leo and I drove all the way from Ontario, Canada to the west coast so that I could face my ex.  I had obtained his address and phone number before we set out and, when we arrived, I called to say that I would be at his house within 5 minutes to meet with him.  On the phone, my ex stated that he had been advised by his doctor not to speak with me, because of his high blood pressure.  When we drove up in front of his house, my ex was leaving with a friend.  He kept his back to me as he walked to his car and I saw that he was actually afraid to face me.  That was a very telling experience, for I realized then that a bully and wife-beater is a coward.  I’m happy to say that I never saw that man again.

The following year I gathered up my courage to phone the Catholic Diocese to find out if Father Lefaive was still alive, and found that he was in a nearby city.  I then called the police to ask how to lay a charge of rape against a priest that was committed in childhood.  The desk sargeant told me that I would have to contact the local courthouse. At the courthouse the clerk told me that, without corroboration, namely someone else who could support my allegations, they couldn’t help me because the statute of limitations had run out.  No one knew about the rape, because I had been threatened with harm to my entire family if I spoke about it!  So I decided to confront that perverted priest in person.

Although I had spoken with the priest and made an appointment to meet with him, when Leo and I arrived he was not at the church as had been arranged.  The next day I called Father Lefaive and spoke with him on the phone.  I asked him if he remembered when he had taken me upstairs from the basement into his bedroom in 1966.  He didn’t recall that.  Then I told him that I was awake during the entire time.  He hastily uttered: “I categorically deny that!”  He dropped the phone and then the line when dead.  After hearing countless legal denials during all of the subsequent scandals of the RC church, it was apparent that the priest had a prepared response.  From my standpoint, in having made those very important attempts to confront my abusers, I had actually overcome my inner fear that had grown exponentially over time.

Later that same year, while I was at the library looking up the names of global organizations that were involved with parapsychology, I glanced at the town of 100 Mile House.  As I read the name of the organization and its director, I saw the name: “Emissaries of the Divine Light”, with Lord Exeter as its head.  Lord Exeter of the House of Lords was the person who had been given the 25,000 acres of land by the Queen of England.  He was operating a cult-like organization in 100 Mile House, B.C.  The directory listed branches in Maple, Ontario and Boulder, Colorado.  I wondered if my ex had known about that cult when he lived in England and had offered me to them in exchange for something.  It was notable that Lord Exeter had used the concept of light for his own dark purpose.  I no longer felt like a victim, but like a survivor.

As I continue to work with my spirit, I feel privileged to be working so closely with Leo Jean.  Over the years he has helped me to determine the solutions to so many problems that I never recognized as having been so detrimental to my well-being.  I’ve learned that my spirit is dependent on me to freely choose whether I accept a negative path or a positive path in life.  Within this positive realm that I’ve chosen is an attainable complex beauty that can only be compared to the ongoing discoveries in the elegant multiverse.  As far as I’m concerned, my existence revolves around the star that is my spirit.

7. Spiritual Recognition

7. Spiritual Recognition

One of Leo Jean’s Starlike Sculptures

Upon meeting Leo Jean I immediately had life changing experiences that brought me from existing as a vulnerable victim to living as a confident person who is fully responsible for my entire being.   It wasn’t until I saw my spirit for the first time, though, that I really felt a connection to my place in the universe.

My first contact with Leo Jean was so exhilarating!  When I arrived at his office, his large Boxer dog growled hello to me.  Leo told me not to worry, because his dog was providing him with some information about me.  I asked if Leo’s accent was French and he stated that he was Belgian.  He said had intentionally kept his accent although he had left Belgium when he was very young.  When I had phoned to make the appointment, I remember saying before we hung up: “We’re going to be such good friends!”  I felt a little embarrassed about that statement at the time, but it turned out to be so true.

As I started to tell him about the recent events that had unfolded, I felt that I could trust Leo with the entire truth of my situation.  I told him about how my then-husband seemed to have been taken over by some supernatural force, and Leo looked me straight in the eye as he told me that he would help me to comprehend what had occurred.  Then I told him about the simian-like beings that I had encountered when I was a teenager.  He told me that we would deal with all that later.  I also asked Leo if it were possible to learn how to use the other 90% of my brain, and he nodded and stated that we would look into it.

Then Leo suggested that we get to work to help me regain my equilibrium.  First, Leo asked if I would permit him to remove all the negativity from me, including that which had damaged my electromagnetic field.  Then he asked me if I would allow him to help me to close my damaged spiritual openings, so that he could perform a healing. Even though I didn’t know what that meant at the time, I agreed because I believed that Leo knew what he was doing.

Once Leo had worked to close and heal my spiritual openings, and to realign my electrical and electromagnetic fields, he then directed me to close my eyes very gently and to mentally ask my spirit to show itself.  No sooner had the thought crossed my mind that I wanted my spirit to show itself, than it happened.  With my eyes closed, I saw a tiny spark of brilliant white light twinkle, then fade into the distance of my mind’s eye vision.  Wow!  That was my spirit!

For the next few minutes, I was flabbergasted.  For all of my life, previous to this moment, I had been searching for something that would give my life meaning.  Now here it was – my spirit!  I was in awe that I actually had a spirit that could respond to me.  The fairy tale was definitely over.  Now I had the most fundamental element of all with which to pursue my life.  All the fear that religions had instilled in their followers about the consequences of being a non-believer was instantly identified.  As I had always suspected, even as a child, it was all just coercive conditioning.

After that healing session, I felt like such a weight had been lifted from me!  I felt happy again.  It was a distantly familiar feeling that I hadn’t felt since I was at least three years old.  I felt invigorated and bubbly.  I smiled so much that day that my face ached from not having used those facial muscles for so long.

That night I received a call from my then husband.  When I told him about my appointment with Leo, he became very upset and demanded to know why I would ever go to see someone like that.  He implied that those types of people are only interested in preying on troubled women.  I assured him that he was wrong and that he should be happy that I was feeling so much better.  My soon-to-become ex was definitely worried.

Leo had invited me to attend one of his evening classes at the college and I was only too pleased to sit in.  Toward the end he asked if everyone had brought their spoons, because he was going to teach the class about mind power.  The students held up their spoons, and Leo directed them how to use their minds to twist their spoons at the neck.  There were many “Ooh’s” and “Ah’s” as the students focused their mental energy at the spoons and twisted them.  I had never seen anything like it before, and was excited about such a different approach to using one’s mind.

A few days later, Leo invited me to meet with some people that had been working with him for a while.  Some of the people were learning to use their psychic skills to help others in the group.  After the others had left, one of the ladies, a registered nurse, told me that she would like to help me.  She asked Leo to help her look at my ex, so that they could help determine what danger he presented.  She asked for my ex’s name and “looked” at him.  She said she saw a tall man with long stringy hair.  I said that my ex had never worn his hair long.

Only then did I remember that he had told me very early in our relationship that he had lived in England for three years and had let his hair grow while there.  I was impressed by how this woman could perceive him directly.  She said that he had been delving into some very dark knowledge during that time and seemed genuinely disturbed by him.  My ex had always told me that I was never to read about, talk about or even think about anything paranormal.  And here was this woman, telling me that my ex had acquired great knowledge of a dark nature.  I felt a cold chill go up my neck.

Then Leo told the nurse that he was going to have to go into a spiritual battle, because my ex and his ex-wife were now attacking him at the higher level.  Right then I had a déjà vu, as if I had already known that Leo would fight my ex at the higher level.  Leo made the statement that my ex’s ex was even stronger than my ex and that she would have to be dealt with immediately.  I was pretty scared for a few minutes, then the fear turned to relaxation as the negativity subsided.  Leo was stopping the attack of negative energy that those people were directing toward me.

Within two days, my ex phoned to say that he would be arriving in town that night to pick me up.  I immediately called Leo and told him that I was still afraid of my ex.  Leo asked me if I wanted to go back with him and I stated that I clearly did not, but that I was terrified of him.  Leo said that he would allow me to stay with him until he left.  I couldn’t believe that I was actually going to get away from my ex!

That night Leo picked me up and took me to stay with him and his family.  The following day my ex showed up at the door and I hid with my head under a pillow, so that I wouldn’t be able to hear his voice.  I was trembling with fear at the thought of having to see my ex again.  After about fifteen minutes, Leo came to tell me that my ex had left, but that he was probably wasn’t going to give up that easily.  I spent a few days indoors so that he wouldn’t be able to approach me on the street.

After we knew that my ex had left town, Leo told me that he had left something for me.  I was puzzled as he showed me my ex’s wedding ring inside a small bottle.  He took it out and balanced it on its edge on the table.  It was vibrating!  I asked what was wrong with it and Leo said that my ex had placed a curse on the ring.  What we were seeing was the effect of the strong negative energy level within the element of the ring.  If I were to touch my ex’s ring, I would once again fall under his influence and would feel compelled to return to him.  I certainly didn’t want that, so I never touched the ring and immediately got rid of it.  It was interesting that, as I got rid of the ring, I got rid of Mr. Corcoran.

Only then did I begin to realize how little love and respect I had for myself before Leo opened my mind to the unseen reality around us.  Throughout my life I had systematically been giving away my positive energy to the predators that had exploited my good intentions in life.  With so little self-respect, my own self-worth had diminished and I felt trapped within the negative circle of guilt, shame and helplessness that I had drawn for myself.  Over the next few months everything would change, as I began to learn about my spirit and the immense potential that it had always offered but that I had never acknowledged.

6. Finding Freedom

As soon as I reentered the motel room, I realized that I had to somehow protect myself from all these people, including my husband, who seemed to have some sort of hidden agenda about me.  There was no reasonable explanation for what the convenience store clerk had said.  How could that stranger know that my ex and I had been arguing the night before? Although I was already shaken enough from the earlier events of that evening, I felt that I was in greater danger than I could imagine.  A surge of anxiety hit me.

While these thoughts were racing through my mind, I started to think about anyone who might be able to help me.  I thought back on my university courses in Spanish literature in which the metaphysical world was often described.  In one of Jorge Luis Borges’ short stories, Borges y Yo, he described his himself as being two people, one who walks in the flesh and one who exists on another level.  I felt like this fittingly described the predicament I had inadvertently found myself in.

Whatever I was experiencing, in some way it was happening on two levels.  The unseen force that had pressed me down toward the floor, the change in my ex-husband’s eyes, the dilated pupils of everyone I had encountered earlier that day, and then the store clerk’s bizarre statements.  What did it all mean?  Who were these people and what could they possibly want with me?  What had happened to my ex-husband and was he aware of his alteration?  Then I was hit with the possibility of having been victimized by the people that ran the town.  Maybe they were preying on me, because of my ex’s secret involvement with them.  Or maybe it was something else.

My next thought was that I wasn’t safe in that motel room, so I would have to leave immediately.  I gathered up the few things that I had brought with me, and started to walk down the highway.  I decided that I would try and hitch a ride with a truck driver, since there was no other traffic at that time of night.  A couple of trucks drove by, but didn’t stop.  As I walked down the highway I could hear the constant howling of the wind in my ears, similar to what I had heard the night before at the cabin.

As I passed the sign that read: “You are now leaving 100 Mile House”, suddenly the howling wind stopped and I felt relieved and almost peaceful.  I calculated that, if I had to walk all the way to the next little town, it would have taken me at least until morning.  I was determined to walk the 7-mile distance, and pulled my woolen hat over my ears.  There was no traffic; it was mid-February and no one was on the road at that time of night.  I looked up at the sky full of stars and wondered if those beings that I had seen when I was a teenager could possibly be aware of my predicament.  I hadn’t thought about them for many years, yet the memory brought me some comfort.

Then I noticed a police car drive by.  I continued to walk, hoping that they would leave me alone.  They drove past on the other side of the highway, slowing down to take a look at me.  The driver opened his window and asked where I was going.  I indicated with my hand that I was heading in the direction to which I was walking.   They drove away again.

By this time I was concerned about who these policemen might be and if they might have been sent by the townspeople.  The car came up behind me again, and followed me slowly up the highway for about five minutes.  I then decided that I would cross the road, so that they wouldn’t drive up beside me.  I started walking in the same direction and noticed that the police car had stopped.

Then I sensed that someone was behind me.  I started to walk faster, and could definitely feel someone coming up behind me.  As I turned to look at who was following me, I saw a very tall upright being with large curly horns on his head.  It looked like a satyr from Greek mythology.  Whatever it was, it must have been at least seven feet tall.  Then, as it reached out to grab my shoulder, I saw a police officer in uniform.  He started pulling me across the road to the police vehicle, as I protested.  Once we arrived at the car, the other officer got out and together they tried to push me into the back seat of their cruiser, as I placed my hands and legs against the car to prevent them from pushing me inside.  They were ripping my jacket apart, when one of them pulled off my hat and pulled my hair really hard.  I released my grip and they tossed me into the cruiser.

I spent that night in the hospital, where I was observed by a couple of psychologists; one was a bit sinister, while the other seemed friendly.  In the morning my ex just happened to show up in my room.  Oddly, his eyes were once again blue, but much bluer than they had been previously.  I refrained from commenting, but asked him how he knew that I was there.  He said that he had gone to see his lawyer the night before, when I had disappeared from the cabin, and that the lawyer had told him that morning that I had been admitted.  Since I wasn’t aware of any lawyer in that town, I suspected that he was lying.

Even though I knew that my ex could not be trusted, I figured that I had to go along with him, since I had no other way out of town.  The next day my ex announced that we were leaving to go down to Vancouver.  When he picked me up at the hospital he had already packed my suitcase, so I never had to return to the cabin.  We drove most of the way in silence.  It was like I never even knew the man.

En route, I told my ex that I wanted to go and visit my family, because I felt so ashamed of myself for the way that I had been living my life.  We also discussed the times when he had hit me, and he told me that he couldn’t recall those incidents at all.  He said that he simply blacked out and didn’t remember.  I couldn’t believe anything he said at that point.

When we arrived in the city, my ex decided that he would check me into an outpatient clinic for the weekend.  I spent three days being interviewed by psychiatrists and being subjected to group therapy.  I was well aware that I couldn’t discuss what had happened at the cabin and in 100 Mile House and just tried to rest.  I learned that I had lost 15 pounds during the previous two weeks, and acknowledged that I needed to look after myself better.

Then my ex returned with the good news that I would be on a flight the next morning.  We stayed in a hotel that night; it was Valentine’s Day and I pretended that it was a special time.  When he offered me a glass of wine at dinner, I could barely raise the glass to my lips without shaking.  It all had to stop.

During the flight I reviewed the events that had just transpired and could think of no apparent reason for them.  Yet I knew that I had to find someone to help me to deal with what I then called supernatural phenomena. The person I would seek would be someone whose knowledge surpassed what the medical community understood.  I didn’t really know who I was looking for, but I knew that I had to find the right person.

When I arrived in the city where I had been raised, I asked one of my sisters if she knew of anyone in the area who dealt with supernatural events.  She told me that there was someone teaching parapsychology at the local college and that might be a good place to start.

That was the turning point in my life, for that was how I met Leo Jean.  Soon I would learn more about myself than I ever imagined.  And I would finally learn to work with my spirit.
